Who decided what is true and how did they convince us? Amy Schleser investigates man-made systems of truth through her interactive books, prints, and performances. Her work challenges scientific, mathematical, and religious “facts,” assumptions, and opinions using surveys, contradictions, and deductive reasoning. In a murky search for proof, Schleser rejects absolute truth, questioning the blinding influence of our superiors, childhoods, and our educational experiences upon our beliefs.
